  1. in my case one issue I always had with the mathematics we were taught was it never touched on the reasoning behind it. I'm now reading about Topology and it's proofs which I find more interesting and more explanatory of what I've learned.

  2. Yup - I realized I had some relatively dim bulbs teaching math, they didn't love the subject.
