Just stating it sarcastically does not invalidate the low representation and opaqueness of the European Comission.

Backroom deals galore.

Paul Nolan and raking in lucrative board positions.

Which is no issue as long as you don't pretend to be representing the people like the European Commission is doing. The public has no idea who the chairwoman is let along the rest of the commission yet these are the only people that get to propose the European Law.

They are only delegated by the part of each country that happened to have voted for the largest party. This isn't representative at all.

@petersebok9284 backdoor deals decide who ends up in the comission while MEP's sheepishly vote for their bills like with article 13. It's one big farce.

@petersebok9284 shows that these sheep had no idea what she proposed to parliament. It's a prime example of what happens when you relegate the directly chosen body of a government to such a passive role.
1
@omegaRST elected officials openly admitting they had no idea what article 13 entailed are completely deserving of the moniker 'sheep'.

@Ackreti they VOTE on that which they haven't read. The EC breeds apathy.

@Ackreti the European Parliament is the only "parliament" where bills are exclusively written by a very small group of unelected people. Every other parliament, at least the Western ones have laws written by people who have actually been voted on. This is an important distinction that makes the EU a faux democracy by design. It's this lack of legitimacy that will make it tear itself apart as one by one each net contributor leaves the union until only Germany and its vassal states are left.

A directly chosen congress approved by a directly chosen senate, with a lateral laws and executive orders written by a directly chosen president. And yes a US president has an inappropriate amount of power as well but at least they represent a decent share of the population.
1
@Ackreti that's just pedantic.
