  1. On the Lex Fridman podcast Roger Penrose claimed that consciousness could not be a mere computation because the brain was operating on a quantum level. Mr Penrose has quite a stack of IQ points over me and I don't feel like disputing this genius. However, this does seem like an idea humans already like to hear so intuitively this is where I would pump the brakes before cruising straight into new age esotericism.

  2. That's fair. I'm not here to "Destroy Penrose with facts and logic." But there's a lot of content creators who run off with what he's saying and appeal to this man's accomplishments.
