  1. The train station in Arnhem - The Netherlands has an interesting story as well. One that I got to follow every day as a kid living nearby. An architecturally ambitious plan started in the 90's but ran into budget and development trouble and eventually they changed the initial to meet a new budget but still retain the older idea. The result is a bizarre construction in the entrance that doesn't make a lot of logistical sense but is still an interesting place to walk through.
