  1. I think this is worth a whole series of videos actually. What merit does each religion/movement/creed have? We're being hit over the head wit the value of diversity but rarely do people answer the question as to what each idea brings to the table. What does Christianity contribute to society? What does Islam bring to society. Sure add secular humanism and all other secular ideas as well. What are they contributing and in what way?

  2. Richard Dawkins has always defended cultural Christianity. He devoted a whole chapter to it in the God Delusion.

  3. Because he finds it has no empirical merit. And indeed it doesn't. At the same time he acknowledges it brought for just about anything in Western culture. The greatest thinkers lived within the context of Christian faith, found solace, inspiration meaning within it. That made Christianity a catalyst in it but that does not mean that Christianity has a monopoly on solace, inspiration and meaning.
