  1. It's clear as day now. It's a way to offload responsibility for the box-office. With End Game the producers see the writing on the wall and know that whatever they do next isn't going to be as good. Yet their names are still tied to any success. So by going woke, they get to plausibly deny any lower ratings with the excuse that they're pushing the envelope and that the audience is bigoted. That way they get to have their cake and eat it.
