  1. Ever since I was a teen I hated this discussion due to the nebulous term 'mature' and 'adult'. Everyone seems to have a different concept of what these words mean. And when it's applied to the difference between how boys and girls 'mature' differently it's invariably about girls becoming interested in sex and relationship sooner than boys. As if being completely caught up in drama is the 'mature' thing to do. At high school I loved to discuss politics and technology with my friends during recess. And often when girls happened to be around us they told us we were behaving like a bunch of old men yet at the same time we were also being accused of acting like children when it came to relationships. So which was it? Are you being more mature than the "child" you can't sustain a normal conversation on current affairs with because you prefer to discuss the latest development on Sex and the City or Gilmore Girls? 'Maturity' to me, means responsibility. It's almost synonymous. Mature people accept and take on responsibility, immature people try to continuously shift it away from themselves.
