  1. There isn't much evolving going on now anyway, our species have started to get in a rut ever since we started to expand. No natural selection at al. But this century we're mastering the genes. Historians of the future will point this age out as the second cambium explosion. Whether that's a good or bad thing remains open to speculation.

  2. Aye, population can either be in 'expansion' phase, where there's little strain on the selection and resources and can grow unhindered, or 'development' phase in which we hit the resource limits and the selection kicks in again.
