  1. It also disregards that most mathematicians were (and still are) male. What if female mathematicians disagreed? Where they 'mansplaining' or 'womansplaining' as well? And more importantly, why would their gender matter? Shouldn't be the enormous disproportionate gender distribution amongst mathematicians be the bigger problem here?
