  1. Sam has been a huge part of my childhood, but I also recognise that being a contrarian ten years ago came at much lower stakes than being a contrarian today. So I understand he no longer considers it worth it to stand up against the pitchfork mob of Sam Seeder fans anymore.

  2. He forgets that he's restricting access to his content as well. All that NFT's add is that this access can be traded on a secondary market.

  3.  @bill7282  Maybe, but there's a tendency for intellectuals to just 'snap' at some point. Like Howard Bloom, who wrote brilliant books on the way our biology manifests in society and how neuroticism seems to be a self-terminating trait, a very bleak but poignant observation. Checking his Twitter account today and he's a neurotic husk of the intellectual heavy weight this man used to be.
