My friend went to watch Birdman expecting an MCU movie. He was furious.

They legit should embrace the meme. Going forward all their superhero movies will have a mandatory intermission where Morbius shows up and starts morbing up everyone before the story can continue.

Good thing the villain had opinions that fell outside the Overton Window and publicly telegraphed them to the world. Now the kid gets to retain their patent.

"Congratulations on the Emmy you won yesterday, the Dark Crystal! I just knew we had something when you got pitched to us. Also you're cancelled."

I expected this to be about Pedro Pascal explaining how the TV show is going to be more immersive because the characters can't respawn.

There's an exhaustive tour of the hotel by Flying The Nest. It's genuinely a cool and detailed experience. But as you can see on that video is that there's like 8 cast members for every guest or something. So it's not that the hotel is expensive, but rather the enormous amount of personnel that the park needed to sustain that immersive experience.

At least one dolphin and one fart sound.
59
This is particularly funny in the Netherlands as 'Max' is already the channel for a geriatric audience.
58
'Local' is a video essayist who does a great job at destroying those tropes while still offering substance.
56
And then God Emperor as a Netflix animated series.
54
@BonaparteBardithion And where the budget is entirely front-loaded in the initial production design. Most of the props they would need for a new season already exist but are now gathering dust in some warehouse.
52
This is why the Korean Netflix shows are better. Koreans hate milking stuff and most of their shows end after one season with every single loose end wrapped up. Netflix can't extend them even if they wanted to.
46
The IRS approves Nick Cage's movies for him.
42
Doctor Strange got quite close to that point already.
27
Philip De Franco started this trend in 2006. It's just a cheap way to produce videos because the quick cuts allow you to quickly remove all the mistakes without too many retries. He then started exaggerating it as the more you do it, the more quirky and witty you look. What we have today is just the logical product of 16 years of people evolving this method.
25
Literally The Equalizer 2
24
Blood Five: Fate of the Meridians
23
The hotel is already a third of the size of Batu. Plus they currently used in-world shuttles (boxtrucks that looked like space shuttles from the inside, 2 minute ride) that keep the hotel guests neatly separated from the park guests. If there was a hotel on site then park guests would try everything to get inside the hotel.

Don't apologise to us, apologise to NordVPN.
20
And before this you see him spending an hour setting up the camera and putting the final touches to the script he's been writing for weeks.
20
For Nord VPN.

Walks into the room Announces his death Doesn't elaborate
18
I truly had no idea where this was going but then again I can't remember the last time I opened up Facebook.
17
I expected the cliffhanger to be way worse. Like Miles having to chose between saving his dad or Gwen.
15
Do a video of a Youtuber who has an outrageously extravagant high budget intro and then starts talking into a potato mic.
13
"I'll subject you to some art."
13
@anonymousanonymous1338 Why do you think they delayed the Spider-verse...
12
@ibanez9179 lmao yeah if anything Villeneuve would have jumped straight to Messiah if the producers didn't stop him and made him do the first book first.
12
Aww and he dressed up and everything.
10
@hayk3000 Brigading is usually done through Discord. You're not hallucinating.
10
Ken actually went onto the Sigma grindset. That's his character arc.
9
As if that would stop Elastigirl.
9
I heard he's using two monitors.
8
@Krill_all_health_insuranceCEOs The Expendables is a homage to the actors. It's the opposite.
8
I really, really love the plot-twist at the end of Fast 10. I don't like anything else about the movie. But the plot-twist is phenomenal. I can think about it at any moment and it puts a huge smile on my face.
7
They don't care about the durability of their video as only the first few hours matter to the algorithm.
7
Netflix cancelled The Dark Crystal one day after it won an Emmy.
5
"I hate it when Hollywood intrudes into franchises I hold dear and imposes its values on it."
4
@CinnamonPolar In the previous phases at least it was just the same Marvel movie repeated with different heroes. So if you had seen one then you've seen them all, you could just guess what happened in the others. But with the Disney shows, things became way more complicated.
4
I want them to spend it all on expensive jpg's and then go work at McDonald's. I'm not bitter.
4
I thought SSSNiperwolf was some far-right history channel. Why pick that name.
3
The reality is that each Netflix executive has their own portfolio and they're all warring over the budget to each, it's one big political hornet's nest.
3
Not gonna lie, he had me in the first 30 seconds.
3
@shaykhmhssi3246 okay but how about WandaVision? I didn't see any of that and the movie was constantly referring to itt.
3
"So are you ever going to give me any advice?" "What, no, I'm sorry, I'm only here to soak in the exposition."
3
Cut! CUT! Black gay stood too far into the shot again. Stand further back.
3
Timing is everything.
3
sus
3
He really threaded the needle here.
3
That guy should've made a picture of him with his phone.
