  2. The only countries that wanted this war were Italy and Germany. Everybody else got roped into it and most of them suffered famine, that includes vassal states like India.

  3. I'm not downplaying the famine. I'm disputing that it's deliberate. Not to mention several famines followed until all-purpose wheat got introduced in 1962.
