  1. I understand the legal argument that it's all to preserve jury neutrality. I just don't buy it. Enforcing a media blackout on massively public cases is not just an archaic and counterproductive tool to ensure jury neutrality, it's also in direct conflict with freedom of press and freedom of speech. Trial by jury is important, but it's infinitely less important than the free exchange of information and ideas. A judge who can't see that and so frivolously persecutes a very mild and technical transgression with such a disproportionate sentence clearly is out of line.

  2. Maajid and Tommy have a feud over the Quiliam office raid, that's why Maajid struggles to voice any support for Tommy. It's really petty, there's something more important going on here.
