http://www.skepticalscience.com/water-vapor-greenhouse-gas.htm We define 'pollutant' as any undesirable substance brought into our environment by humans. The carbon that was already part of the carbon cycle for millennia isn't the problem. We like that. It provided a highly fertile climate that allowed for humanity to grow into the giant civilization it is today. What we call the 'pollutant' is the new carbon that is being added on top of what's already there. This is fossil carbon. Carbon that has been underground for millions of years. That's what's causing the warming. The bottomline is that all our emmisions up to now will warm this planet by a two extra degrees in the coming decades and from four to six degrees if we don't do anything about our current rate of pollution. This will threaten our global food production and water distribution and will cause enormous hikes in the food price. That's how you will end up paying for the emmisions caused by the Koch lobby selling you on this Water Vapour canard. So I sincerely plead you to stop pushing the Koch agenda. You're shooting yourself in the food, I mean foot.

Twenty times stronger than CO2 and it's definitely why we should put a price on our animal industries. Even more scary is the methane from the permafrost. The more we warm, the more that stuff gets released and the faster that cycle escalates.

***** breathing only uses the CO2 that was already present in the atmosphere.

***** Teenageriot280 Breathing takes carbon that is already present in the active carbon cycle. It doesn't introduce new carbon into the cycle like burning fossil fuels does. So in that way breathing has a net zero CO2 emission. This is also why biofuels don't count as CO2 emmision. The fuel comes from crops that take up carbon that was already present in the atmosphere. The only way biofuels add new carbon is when the farmer still uses fossil fuel for the machinery. This is how it currently looks like: http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/outreach/isotopes/images/carbon_budget.jpg

***** If you're aware of these facts could you then please stop spreading misinformation? Climate science is confusing to many people. As long as people don't grasp what's going on it's incredibly difficult to make meaningful change.

***** If you understand that breathing doesn't add new CO2 to the atmosphere then saying that breathing will kill us all is wilfully causing confusion. People have a seriously hard time understanding it even if you give it to them straight. Maybe you mean humorously but it seriously sets people on the wrong track.
