  2. I think Denis refused to let Feyd cheat to heighten his threat for the finale. In the book Feyd cheats both times which heightens the tension, but the movie doesn't leave much room to show exactly how Feyd is supposed to cheat (as Lycnh made it arduously clear). So that way the clear answer is to let Feyd cheat at neighter and make the intrigue about the Baron having some fun with Feyd.
