  1.  @Just_Pele  that's the welfare trap, that's not UBI. UBI applies to everyone which means that people don't lose their welfare when they start earning wages. UBI solves the problem you're concerned about.

  3. 1:20 people who are unwilling to do jobs on an UBI would be a problem if we had a labor shortage. But we don't. If we truly ran into a shortage of people willing to do important work that it would result into unaffordable labor costs, then the amount of UBI would be excessive and can be lowered. But until then, Tim's point doesn't stand.
