  2. Think clearly about where you find women. You're rigging the game against yourself if you go on dating sites, bars or nightclubs. Far better are sport clubs, book clubs, debating society, volunteer work, concerts and festivals. The reason for this is that the women you find here aren't necessarily there hunting for a man which means you can get to know each other on ground level. Hell, I even had women gladly pay for coffee dates I asked them on.

The act of trying to avoid rejection is incredibly emasculating and sucks your energy out. Just embrace it, be confronted by it and figure out what to do with the feedback.

  26. One thing that annoys me about Dutch urban design is the workshop feature. Apartment complexes that have garage-like spaces in the lower floor meant for people to do some artisan craft in. The result is that within these neighbourhoods there's always people using loud heavy machinery, sawing wood, cutting stone, drilling metal, sanding anything. It's no longer quaint carpenters chipping and hand-sawing a piece of wood, it's all loud and obnoxious without any apparent value to the actual neighbourhood. Separate workshop zones would make far more sense in this case.

  34. Good ones. If 'all knowledge on coding' had the shape of a snowflake, then most tutorials would start at the intricate edges and move towards the simple centre. It should be the other way around, start at the centre, and only move towards the outer layers when the core is properly conveyed.
