@galy0 And the 2 largest militaries on earth couldn't take goat herders in Afghanistan 🤷‍♂️war is complicated. For France their problem was largely political disunity hampering the military and the dated ww1 thinking of Philippe Pétain. Who commanded the French military based on his ww1 reputation and experience. The PM tried to fire him multiple times but was blocked for political reasons. At least they didn't send Calverley with lances against tanks like Poland. I think you forget they had collaborators in charge of the military. They were doomed from the start with people like Philippe Pétain and Albert Lebrun in positions of power. Their horrible leadership in hindsight looks deliberate.

@galy0 yeah, fact is you don't understand history 🤷‍♂️ there are lots of examples of world powers failing a war. Only took 3 months of USA looking for Aidid until they turned tail and ran from Somalia.
