  1. With US pulling out it's great to have another western presence. It gives them financial aid and military security, while allowing the west to encourage relative freedom. Meanwhile abandoning them leaves a vacuum for russia/Iran to weasl their way back in.Or give China a shot. West could use some allies in the middle east. This is a great chance to make one.
