Β @dennisyoung4631Β I've always felt lavarov looks like classic 1930s nosferatu.

Burger King and KFC are in the process of shutting down operations in russia.

China can't replace the 40+ nations sanctioning russia.

Corruption tends to get in the way.

Right now it looks like they are legit trying to use up old stock from when McDonald's closed. Once they run out.....

Instruments of death. When you think russia tell me kalashnikov isn't the first thing that comes to mind.

Β @fesztyΒ I like how everyone talks about the AK 47 when it was actually a peice of junk and discontinued in the early 60s. Technically the weapon most people are thinking of is the AKM or AK 74. Now they are on the AK 12 which has huge internal problems. The gas mechanism fowls up rather fast and isn't suited for sustainable fire. Still some countries like Mozambique have the AK 47 on their flag π³ π€

They do have a trip planning computer at least. No GPS though so it's kind of like some of the early trip planners or using a download Google map in offline mode. They also come with a 3.5mm connector to hook up a mp3 or phone. Car had speakers but no more radios π€¦ββοΈπ

The companies left and the establishments are under new management. They have lost their logistics chain. Probably why they are using old moldy buns from March when McDonald's closed.

Over 1,200 left because of the bad optics
1
Β @jannejohansson3383Β oh yeah I was agreeing with you and trying to provide some context. About 1,200 pulled out fearing bad publicity but also being seized by the government. Russia has done that to a few assets of Western companies lately. It makes companies weary of sticking around. Like the over 500 airplanes russia had on lease and decided to re register them all as russian owned new planes. Only about 250 western companies remain. So that means almost 80% pulled out. Unemployment in russia must be bad π π€ π π π¬

Turns out companies with decades of experience and global supply chains aren't super easy to just replace. It's actually quite impressive how people like Mcdonald can make a half decent product for dirt cheap. Then you add in classic russian corruption to the mix and you're gonna have a bad time β² β³

How so π€ β
1
Over 1,200 companies left and unemployment is estimated to be at about 30% to 40%. Of course official russian numbers claim unemployment went down 1% after all the companies started leaving. π

There's no shortage of toulet paper in the west comrade.

How? They are just serving left over McDonald's from March.

Ah yes the angle kiss I believe it's called. π π·
