The DPR and LPR are russian terrorist proxy groups. russia did the same thing with Transnistrea, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, North Alania, East Prigorodny, Dagistan, etcetera. russia has a rich history of supporting pro russian "separatists". russia even tried and failed in Khazikstan and Mongolia.
