  2. ​ @BDRioga  NATO never went to war with Afghanistan. It was the US/UK. Besides russia spent 20 years in Afghanistan then collapsed after they withdrew.

  5. ​ @kevinjenner9502  NATO wasn't in Lybia, and after Yugoslavia collapsed the U.N. went in. After years of disharmony the U.N. mission disbanded and NATO finally ended the Serbian war crimes. Literally 1 bombing campaign in over 70 years isn't too aggressive, no?

  9. It's because their hording of equipment after unification. They had the largest military stockpile in Europe. Turns out nothing lasts forever and things need like maintenance, which becomes increasingly expensive the older a unit gets. The Bundeswehr is horribly bogged down in red tape. Took them over 9 years to determine if a US helmet could fit a German head.

  12.  @69quato  article 5 was never used. Look up the U.N. mandated International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), which was commanded under the NATO apparatus. Not all ISAF members were in NATO and not all NATO members participated.

  14.  @kevinjenner9502  your talking about a no fly zone voted on in the U.N security Council. That was a globally supported operation ordered by the U.N. carried out through the NATO command structure. They weren't in Lybia, they just enforced a globally agreed upon no fly zone over Lybia.
