  5.  @jvjd  mercenary? Ukraine doesn't use any. The foreign legion is integrated into the armed services of Ukraine. Unlike wagner with no government accountability. Do you call the French foreign legion a mercenary group?

  7.  @Gjoa1906  they likely will. russia can go strong probably through 2023 but they are going to run out of steam 2024. They are isolated with an economy in shambles. Meanwhile aid from the west keeps stepping up to new levels. Poutn has played his best cards already. He has no way of coming out ahead in this.

  10. It's meddling importance. A 3 road junction with soledar lost there's only 1 road in. If russia fully captures it they gain 2 paths out of Bakmut. City is on a knoll over looking feilds though. Great fire position to hold if somebody attacks from East or south.

  15.  @denisgorjunov  well first, russia mobilised 300k didn't they? They also have wagner and a heavily conscripted DPR & LPR. However "casualties" does not mean liquidated. A broken pinky toe is a casualty. The official number of russians actually lost is a tad over 125,000. Not 200k.

  16.  @Gjoa1906  lol russia absolutely won't keep the territory and the west absolutely will support ukraine. Many funding mechanisms already stretch into 2025. It's in everyones best interest to finally stop russian expansion. Finally put an end to their destabilising wars of expansion. Stop them from threatening the baltics, Sweden, Canada etcetera.
