  4.  @Dave1507  he did 1 year of conscription as a private in West Germany in his early 20s over 40 years ago. However he is a no nonsense kind of guy and advocate for tough on crime. He should at least be able to project some power and confidence. Which Germany sorely lacked with the last defence minister.
