  1. France takes a back seat on global issues but wants to lead Europe. What I find interesting is the EU already has a lot of trade power and their costs often impact how businesses run in North America. EU already leads a fair bit.

  3.  @labechamel75    I never said, implied, or believe China is invincible. Exactly why Europe shouldn't cower in the corner while China expands. Neville Chamberlain taught us Appeasement is a fools errand. A weak stance means China will go for Taiwan. They can risk trading with other partners after they secure the chip manufacturering in Taiwan. A 10 year bump means little to winnie the pooh in the grand picture. Like Vasha and crimea.

  6. France is like the 12th largest military supporter of Ukraine. Well behind Canada and even Australia. He's an isolationist and this is revenge for the French Australia Submarine deal US torpedoed.
