  1. As long as he's able I think he'll keep it. If he really is too sick though the heir might need to act as a regent. I doubt he'll let go of it easy. He's spent a life time preparing for this role.

  4. He's pretty prepared and eager for his responsibilities. Waited his whole life for the crown. It's unlikely he'll just hand it away unless he becomes greatly sick.
