  1. my country banned this some years ago too but i dont think people arrested anyone. you just had to pay more if people asked for plastic bags in stores

  2. there was a funny moment that my teacher once mentioned. he was lining up to a cashier in a department store in a mall. when the ban was enacted in my country, the mall department store decided to wrap them instead in a sort of wrapping paper. one of the old ladies didnt like this since she was used to carrying a plastic bag that had a handle. she refused to have it wrapped so instead she just held all the stuff she bought in her arms lol
