  5.  @juicytoes77  there are filipinos who grew up in families inheriting colonial mentality mindset, that is being spanish wannabes and having an inferiority complex and looking up to anything foreign 1st world. this usually occurs among mestizo filipinos and austronesian filipinos. its a result of spanish assimilationist policy that valued christianized catholic spanish culture and a spanish racial bias due to early to mid colonial exemption privileges to the few local spaniard elites centuries ago. this has no place in the postcolonial world besides being a useless remnant that devalues one's own culture.
