if the US never controlled Hawaii, the japanese wouldnt have bombed Hawaii lol. even if the japanese did take hawaii in ww2, the americans can still send aid and walk through foreign occupied land just like they did in europe with france and nazi germany. the US defended the philippines, palau, fs of micronesia, and marshall islands from the japanese, yet you dont see them being part of japan nor part of the US today, are they?

"ingrates" lol the former US colonies that the US freed like Palau, FS of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, and the Philippines had it better being their own sovereign state despite being american "territories" in the pacific. if wealth was what justifies the occupation of foreign land, feel free to surrender your country's independence to the next wealthiest country.

J KAYLA native americans are from siberia in the north, not taiwan which is in the south. austronesians like hawaiians all come from the common path of taiwan when they were a common people. proto-austronesians themselves used to be from the continent in present-day southern china which before that, they migrated from the west

J KAYLA i was referring to the borneo-philippine family in general. the dayak people are a numerous group of different people of different languages that have been influenced also by surrounding groups and also chinese migrants just like many other places of southeast asia. i do not know what dna test you are talking about and we are talking about austronesian people not austroasiatic people. the word "austronesian" is derived from greek by scholars to literally mean "south islander". austroasiatic peoples are those like the khmer of cambodia, kinh of vietnam, mon of myanmar. they are not the same. when i said northern papua and mollucas, i did not imply that all of these places became purely austronesian. austronesians only crossed these paths like northern papua to get to micronesia and polynesia and colonized certain areas there where melanesian people have not or at times collide with melanesian peoples. all human people's ancestors come from africa several thousands of years ago. the melanesians and australian aboriginals may just have been the first few to be the forefront to get to papua and australia and retained their dark features
