  2. @Helmetz if that country u're talking about intends to isolate itself. If not, it will have to contend with the diplomatic laws of the countries it seeks to associate or trade with. Otherwise, these recognized countries might keep treating that country unequally or relations are constantly illegal backdoor ones. the wider world might continually look lowly on it despite any claims or the reality. It happens to small uncontacted tribes and even unrecognized states and micronations.
