  1. theres something in this video that i think many people have glossed over. the root of the problem of population decline for developing economies is basically the modern lifestyle is not sustainable. the prices are too high and there is not enough time outside the job. in a scenario like this, a person would rather choose their job in order to survive the high prices rather than choose to spend time and money to build a family and pay for more humans. the solution is not just immigration. immigration is only but a temporary bandaid to alleviate it, albeit carrying its own consequences of its own. With immigration, cultures have to have a certain level of tolerance and acceptance to cultural compromise at the least and cultural replacement at the most. the true solution if population growth is what is desired is to alleviate the strenuous working conditions for more efficiency or to accept the productivity loss as a cost to the population growth that one so desires. societies have to choose, it's either demographic decline, cultural debasement, or economic productivity decline. one must consider the weight of each and their risks. Do Not underestimate any of each.

  2. the individualist culture is not to blame here. east asian nations are collectivist at core yet everyone suffers it when economies reach such developed threshold. the working conditions and pay is simply too high, regardless of individualist or collectivist culture. german creators talking of blaming individualist culture is just another eurocentrism when the video itself is titled to South Korea which is a collectivist culture at core.
