  5. usually, jobs dont come from thin air. it's usually the private sector that generates jobs in the philippines and i dont think what is generated was ever enough for the yearly graduating new workforce in ph. especially there has been a brain drain for the past the decades, where the skilled professionals who could be making businesses that generate jobs in the philippines run off to other countries and not come back. foreign companies could be coming too to generate more jobs but the philippines has a protectionist economy that doesnt allow complete foreign ownership to protect the existing local companies and small to medium business owners. there are way too much workforce supply brimming over for what jobs local companies can generate. some industries, not a lot want to work at too
