@NickTheEnlightened exactly. They are ignorant of history and believe all they had were muskets. There were actually machine guns at the time. Also cannons were able to be owned by anyone. The founders envisioned all citizens to be able to own any gun.

@hmmm2357 Insanity that you're ok with violating our 4th amendment for so called "safety". Everyone has far more of a chance to get killed by regular every day ppl or gang members than a mass shooting. You're not likely to ever know anyone who knows someone who was involved in a mass shooting.

@hmmm2357 it is not reasonable to search EVERYONE wanting to buy a gun because they MAY be "crazy"(and who defines that? That is violating the rights of many to find a few.

It would one hundred percent become an underground gold mine. In fact, it would probably be ppl in our own government bringing them in. Get a clue dude.

@hmmm2357 No it doesn't! This situation doesn't fit that at all. You're twisting the wording of the amendment. It requires "reasonable" governmental searches and seizures to be conducted only upon issuance of a warrant, judicially sanctioned by probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized. Under the Fourth Amendment, search and seizure should be limited in scope according to specific information supplied to the issuing court, usually by a law enforcement officer who has sworn by it. Fourth Amendment case law deals with three issues: what government activities constitute "search" and "seizure"; what constitutes probable cause for these actions; and how violations of Fourth Amendment rights should be addressed. In no way does it mean we can search EVERYONE who decides to do such and such just in case they may commit a future crime. It is not reasonable to search people who have done nothing wrong. That's the whole point of the amendment!

Lmao They'll get a gun through the enormous black market or they will choose another method. Like in the UK. They use bombs, knives, trucks, etc. (And also still use guns)
