@wessince4587 you seem to be missing the point or the communication is bad. The point is only that he is a hypocrite. Nobody cares that he made money. It is just the hypocrisy and change in his rhetoric when he became the millionaire he used to reject.

@wessince4587 oh my lord. Tbis has been spelled out by several people now. Because in 2016 his rhetoric was that MILLIONAIRES and billionaires shouldn't be. They shouldn't have that money according to Bernie just 4 years ago. NOW he is a millionaire. He wasn't 4 years ago. Now that he is a millionaire, his rhetoric has changed. He no longer says "muh 1%" or millionaires. He says billionaires now. Because if he said millionaires, he would be talking about himself. His entire premise is different now because he is now what he spoke of. And NO, inflation doesn't excuse this change.

@Arjuntheone88 what makes you think that communism doesn't also have authoritarian leaders? They have even more power as they control everything. Even your access to healthcare. There would still be income inequality as the people are equally poor and the leaders are equally loaded. It sounds no different but much more oppressive. What's wrong with income inequality? You get what you work for. If a person doesn't want to work or doesn't work hard, they have less money. A person who works hard to get there, has more money. There is nothing wrong with that system. @Arjuntheone88 It is the governments fault that college is unaffordable to begin with. We need less Gov intervention. And NONE of it is free. It is tax payer funded. Everyone gets double or more taxes to pay for college, healthcare, etc. Whether they need it or not. It is government stealing your money by threat of force. Your income is made by your labor. Labor is your time. Time is your life. It is the government literally stealing your life. By force. Don't want to go to college? Doesn't matter. You still pay a shit ton more in taxes. You're healthy and never go to the dr? Doesn't matter. You still pay a shit ton more in taxes. It's only great for the very poor who don't pay taxes anyway. Most of pur problems are BECAUSE of govt. They only exacerbate problems and create new ones. Canceling student debt is asinine. Those people created that debt on their own. And again, the prices of college and tbat debt being accumulated is largely because of govt intervention. Their laws created predatory loans and led colleges to jack prices. Our country is over 20 trillion in debt. That is transgenerational debt slavery. The last thing we need is hundreds of trillions more in govt costs.

Some of your people come to the US to have better care. Some buy their own privste insurance on top of the high taxes for it. I'll pass. I value freedom of choice.

The average wait time for a specialist there is over 21 weeks. That's barbaric. That's great that wherever you live doesn't suck, but that doesn't negate the fact that it does in most of your country.

@Arjuntheone88 It is known universally that Canada wait times are long and have been getting longer. Maybe you are lucky but most people there wait months for specialists and such. And isn't dental, eye, prescription, etc not even covered under your healthcare so you have to pay out of pocket for that on top of your insane taxes?

Yes I also agree that they're given to us by our creator and not the government. Yes I also agree we have more than any other country. None of that makes it incorrect to say that we are NOT free and are less free every day. And we sort of have the right to bear arms. We are less so every day. There are over 20,000 gun regulations. That is the Gov stripping us of that right and it is worse every day. And then they sell us back that right in licenses, permits, and registrations. You're either not paying attention to what I'm saying or you don't want to.

The government could get off their ass and stop this "orange man bad" shit and actually do something about rx prices by negotiating like every other country does to get lower prices. They could make it so no illegal immigrant can't get healthcare from hospitals as right now because the ER has to treat everyone. They use the ER as their healthcare and never pay. The rest of us pick up those tabs in raised prices to cover it. There is other things such as this that could lower prices and lower insurance costs but they want us to let the government have control of our healthcare because rhey want control of everything we do. And they can steal more of our taxes to cover it.

Or for people who are generally healthy and never use the Dr. They'll be paying a ton more in taxes for something they don't use. ALL BY FORCE. Don't want to pay taxes for others to have healthcare and men with guns kidnap you and cage you and steal all your assets. It is a barbaric system of tyranny. What happens when people then decide that they don't want to pay for people who are obese and unhealthy so they start limiting foods and putting pepple on diets? Or giving hidden taxes like sugar taxes to supplement the ballooning healthcare costs. Want a pop, you'll be paying double. These things will get worse and worse until you realize that you got scammed. You want the government to control your healthcare? The same government that can't properly run a mail delivery service? Or a BMV? Or make a website (obamacare website)? This list goes on and on. You want a government tyranny.

@wessince4587 Dude these companies pay far more taxes than we would ever think to pay. They pay a much larger percentage out of much larger income. Also, there's more to taxes than just federal income taxes. And that's just the corporation. That doesn't include each ceo of those corporations and the taxes they pay on their personal income. What is fair about tbem paying a mich higher percentage than any of the rest of us? Fair would be for us all to pay the same percentage. He doesn't specify if he means the soctors or not. He just uses generalized terms such as 1%, billionaires, millionaires, etc and he literally says that nobody should have a billion dollars. I'm not simplifying anything.

Every aspect of our lives is becoming more and more authoritarian and government controlled. This is why we can't let them in our healthcare. Why we need to get them out of our education and every other part of our lives. The corporations are the media and the media collude with our government and have for decades. @SavingOurRepublic You miss the point. Yes, our constitution says that we all inherently have rights. The govt since then, however, has made hundreds of thousands of laws that have taken more and more of our freedom, piece by piece. They have injected themselves into our lives everywhere and do so more and more every day. They strip us of our rights and sell them back to us with permits, registrations, licenses, etc. That is the opposite of what the original constitution intended. What it says and reality are two separate things. He was right that we are not free. And especially by pointing out the patriot act which is the least patriotic thing in our history.
