He is appealing. There's no way this sticks. It is just that ridiculous. And it is already looking to be bad for NY with the investors there. The ruling is ridiculous, he wasn't allowed to defend himself, and it violates his 8th amendment right of excessive fine.

@davidcross3446 Exactly, and they(NY judge and LJ) have no clue what they're doing or talking about so they used tax assessment value instead of market value. And even then, it would be ridiculous because the gov doesn't get to decide what your property is worth. It is worth whatever you can get someone to pay/loan.

@Lwydius You're spot on. I've seen more than one investor say that exact thing and they said others have told them the same. They're so brazen about their corruption now. They're going after anyone that doesn't too the line or go with their narrative.

@lilox3690 Have you ever gotten a loan? 😂 You can say your house is worth whatever you want. There is no such thing as set price. It is worth what you can get someone to pay. So, you say it is worth whatever amount. Then, the bank sends an assessor and they see if they agree. You negotiate and a deal is made or not. That is exactly what they did. It is whatever every single property sale does. That is why investors are talking about leaving now. Because what he did was normal. The gov doesn't get to decide what your property can be sold for (or used for loan for) Another thing is their valuation of at least o e property is absurd, just like the video says. Lastly, they didn't even allow him a defense. But, those banks said they were happy with the deals, made money from them, and that they'd do business with him again.

@Grits420 Nobody was defrauded. There is no victim here. You have clearly never bought property or you'd know that the bank sends someone to assess the property before they agree.😂 So, they agreed to the price. They said they were happy, they made money, and they would work with him again. The gov doesn't get to decide what your house can be bought/sold for.
