The news portrays it as if race is a huge thing...when you actually live here yoj see it isn't. Most everyone is pretty accepting of other races. The real society here is no less civil than any other country. Remember, the extremists are the loudest...those are few. Also, we aren't a democracy, thankfully. We are a republic.

There is a fine line difference between the two. The founding fathers decided upon a republic do the minority cannot be ruled by the majority.
