@bandit_2ss that's what I do. Literally all day. News of the left. Of the right. Of the center. If you think he is so terrible, you clearly watch just the news you agree with. That's not how you learn the truth. Research all sides of an argument. Th truth is somewhere in tbe middle. The truth is, he isn't bad.

@Akid0Kag3 I had two uncles and a grandfather that worked in a steel mill here in my town. White, citizens predominantly work there. I don't ever see non immigrant dishwashers and fry cooks. Studies show most of all jobs, including construction, hospitality, etc. Are predominantly done by citizens. You seem to conflate immigrant with illegal immigrants. Yes. You. Can. Be. Undocumented. And.get. welfare. You get it through your children. You also use our hospitals as your healthcare and that, in turn, jacks up the prices for the rest of us to pay for their loss. They also get free schooling which the rest of us pay for. It doesn't take long to find this information. I've never seen a place need background checks for welfare. Maybe in NY. Not anywhere I've been.

@Akid0Kag3 We don't have a capitalist country and it hasn't been gor a long time. The government restricts it too much and they get paid by corporations to pass laws they want. We have corporatism. Not the same thing. It is a myth that illegal immigrants fo jobs Americans won't do. There are no jobs that "noone wants". Americans are the main workers in all the typical jobs you hear illegals working. The majority of immigrants come here and get on welfare programs for up to 20 years. Illegal immigrants as well. Illegal immigrants who come here and work under the table jobs for low wages absolutely creates a permanent underclass. Our structure doesn't create this. Studies show that you only need to do 3 things to join the middle class. 1-graduate high school 2-work full time 3-wait till marriage for kids (the later the better). People from any background. The thing that keeps people perpetually and transgenerationally poor is welfare. It incentivizes them to not work and not take promotions when they'll risk losing benefits. It keeps them dependent on the government. Long term welfare is a disservice to all who are on it. Immigration is good. Illegal immigration is not. They cost the American taxpayers over 100 billion dollars every year. This is after taxes paid.

@Akid0Kag3 Our country hasn't been capitalist in a long time. The thousands of regulations, corrupt politicians and corporations keep it from being so. Capitalism is a free market. You don't have a free market in what we have. We have corporatism. It is based in capitalism but it regulations where corporations want and not regulations where they don't want them. Depends on what they pay our corrupt politicians. Yes, it is called capitalistic in name. It is not, in practice. They are absolutely different.

@NanaAppiahkusi If they were asylum seekers, they'd go to the ports of entry...which is how you apply. Anyone jumping illegally is not an asylum seeker. Some will make the claim AFTER they're caught, if not they'll enter and disappear until they're caught committing a crime or whatever. A large portion of people who submit asylum claims are not real asylum seekers and therefore are denied.

@Thecatchurro It wasn't granted on arrival. You had a chance after a year of being here. He DID do it the right way. There was an act that made it right for him to do. Coming here illegally to jump the border now from Honduras or Venezuela is not the right way. There is no act that allows it from Venezuela or Honduras. Unless they apply for asylum! That is done at the port of entry. Not jumping the border illegally. @Thecatchurro So we should allow everyone in who lives in a shitty country? We can't take em all in. Hence why there's rules and limits. Most of the people applying for asylum are not asylum seekers and therefore, turned away. They come over the border illegally and they just claim asylum because they were caught, in hopes of staying. That's why they're turned away. If tbey were true asylum seekers, they'd come to the ports of entry. Applyingg doesn't equal being an actual asylum seeker. Most are economic migrants. Big difference. Many illegally jumping lie about many things to get in. Now we have to give DNA tests to prove that a child is even theirs because a large portion were turning out to not be their kid. They're selling their kids to be used for entering the country.

I mean because at a point they'll lose their welfare and will make less with that raise or new job ,minus the welfare...so they stay at the crap job or don't advance.

@DCrandomwords it wasn't a muslim ban. Only one country in the top 10 muslim countries were even on it. It was a measure thay was talked about in Obamas administration because those countries are countries in which we have low intelligence in, some are failed states, etc. Look up multiple sources and from numerous sides.
