@j_g9724 The law actually made it so long lines are addressed and thry have to now, by law, get more machines or open another poll place. The water and food thing is to stop pl soliciting for votes as ppl were in Nov . They can ring their own, go just 150 to get it before getting in line, or get it from the polling place. If you are a person donating it, you can go just 150 ft away or gove it to the poll place and they can give it out for you.

@tylerstrang3753 It actually expanded things. Read it and compare it to their old laws and then compare it to other states. For instance, drop boxes were only there for emergency use and this bill made them permanent. It has mandates to stop the long lines. Early voting was expanded. They made absentee voting access for any reason and no excuse needed, as you had to have an excuse before. They added an extra Saturday and 2 optional Sundays. Etc. Etc. Etc.

@AliGoose2000 As I said, many elections have come down to very few votes so every fraudulent vote matters. It isn't just a national election. There are many elections going on. It is a simple thing to show who you are. If you registered, you have an ID. And they also accept thi gs like birth certificates.

@grishanthmanoharan5578 It does matter for local and state elections where very few votes have made differences in elections. It is wild that anyone thinks ot is bad to have ID to vote. Most countries do this. And Georgians themselves overwhelmingly support voter id laws.

And if it makes everyone feel more comfortable with the security of elections so we don't have situations like 2020 happening again, even better. There is no good excuse against voter ID.

@AliGoose2000 🤦🏻‍♀️ Tell me when I said there have been "large scale one-sided fraudulent votes". I literally did not say that. I said every election cycle( which has MANY elections happening across the US for local, state, and national), there are close elections so every vote counts. There are many cases where there has been proven fraud. It doesn't need to be widespread for local elections! You are just parroting MSM talking points. The same media that less than a decade ago were warning of the dangers of fraud and error in absentee voting and the politicians who were, just in 2019, warning of safety issues with voting systems. Look up the cases of literal fraud that has happened. It happens. It is objective fact. It does not need to be "widespread".

@tylerstrang3753 Voter fraud happens and is a thing. You can look it up. The media used to talk about it, funnily enough. Lol We should do everything we can to make it harder to do. Especially something as easy as proving you are you. Most countries have ID laws. It is common sense. Anyone against proving you are the person who is casting the vote is being disingenuous or nefarious.

From 2013 to 2017, 56 elections in Ohio resulted in a tie vote and 86 were decided by only one vote. Just Ohio! The U.S. Supreme Court said in 2008 when it upheld Indiana’s voter ID law: "flagrant examples of such fraud have been documented throughout this Nation’s history by respected historians and journalists. Including Indiana’s own experience with fraudulent voting in the 2003 Democratic primary for East Chicago Mayor … demonstrate that not only is the risk of voter fraud real, but that it could affect the outcome of a close election." Every single fraudulent vote negates a vote from a voter.

@tylerstrang3753 So ID laws are common sense laws. Fraud happens. It is important to be stopped (more changes in other areas are needed to stop other types of fraud as well) for the many elections that happen every single year that come down to very little votes. Most Americans support ID laws. Most Georgians support ID laws.
