@raychauvette1467 Yep! Look into the many millions of dollars spent on ones who don't even work...because they can't fire them. Millions of dollars in NY, alone.

Best choice you'll ever make. Mine just graduated last year from homeschooling. 😊

@stevenmartinez5396 Parents today aren't as involved in their kids schooling. They don't push them to work hard. Etc.

@tracyabernathy4591 It is ridiculous. We never own anything. We rent it from the gov. 😠

@dallasarnold8615 By getting rid of most of it and the rest is sales tax, excise tax, fines, fees, etc.
2
@rcorcinci That plays a big role, too.

Most of the doe money is spent on bureaucracy, not on schools. And we already spend more per pupil than any country. Money isnt fixing it.

@babyblutube-s5j Yep. There's a lot of ppl using it to get paid.

@iambetterthanu That would be true if she put them in public sch. HS kids have better outcomes than PS.

@iambetterthanu HS kids have better outcomes than public.

@iambetterthanu HSers have better outcomes...

@Beefster09 I think the biggest reason is individualized curriculum. Teacher to student ratio is obviously far better too, but most HSers do a lot of it independently once they're a little older. They tend to grow up to be more independent and to be leaders.

@dallasarnold8615 FedGov should be enormously downsized. What is left can be done with fines, fees, etc. Most of our needs are done local. They do sales tax, excise taxes, fines, fees, etc.

@georgestichter7972 Exactly. I homeschooled my son. I (my husband and I) paid for all of his schooling. Yet, I did and still have to pay property taxes that mostly goes to schools.

@zenmaverick8668 Completely nonsensical comment. The tax that is a choice is sales tax. That is how they should tax. (Not on food)

@zenmaverick8668 That is an absurd comment. You know it. We all know it.
1
@zenmaverick8668 Yes, it is false. People have to work to give themselves food, shelter, etc. Suggesting they can just opt out of working-which opts them out from providing food and shelter to themselves and family- is absurd. It's a false option. On the other hand, this can be made into a good comment by changing it to sales/excise tax.

@gsp49 I'm at th as t point, as well. There is far too much info out there that shows what is going on. There is no excuse, imo, good enough to still be sending them there.
