@jodieholmes8453 Also, most ppl do not claim climate change isn't real. The claim is usually that it isn't man made or man made to the extent that it said. The Earth has always gone through climate changes. This is normal.

You realize that people from many different sciences are in the debate on climate change? Even mathematicians. Climate science has many areas.

@jodieholmes8453 Everyone on Earth used to say the Earth was flat as well. 😉

@Vivra_Verra____ Nuclear power plants emit less radioactive material than coal plants. Nuclear emits basically no carbon emissions or pollution, uranium is far more energy rich than gas and coal, its much more efficient. Yes, there are more upfront costs, but far better returns. Modern nuclear plants can produce electricity for just 4 cents per kw hour which is very cheap and it is very efficient. Coal, which is what most of our energy is now is FAR more dangerous. The toxic pollution released from them is estimated to cause more than 13k premature deaths and 20k heart attacks each year. Nuclear also takes up FAR FAR FAR less land than solar or wind would and the deforestation and land use it would take to implement them everywhere would not help co2 emissions.

@spanke2999 Someday I hope to have a discussion with people without ad hominem or derogatory comments. Guess that isn't today. 🙄 Have fun.

@vwr32jeep 😂👏

@vwr32jeep Oh no, lol I agree with you there. 😂 Was inly commenting in the weather manipulation part of our governments. Lol

Climate science is made up of scientists of many areas. Even mathematicians.

@Vivra_Verra____ This has been one of the biggest debates and scientists have actually lost jobs just because their views don't go with the narrative. Some have even been pressured into taking back their comments. As for the "all reputable scientists" part, that is based on "active, published climate scientists...many scientist's papers who deny the narrative were refused to be published. Some just haven't published. There are over 31k scientists who signed a petition denying the narrative. Also, some of those studies that the 97% number came from don't even say that climate change is even dangerous to us or the Earth. When the study of 97% was publicly challenged by economist David Friedman, one observer calculated that only 1.6 percent explicitly stated that man-made greenhouse gases caused at least 50 percent of global warming. Some scientists have called out the fzct that the study included their studies which didn't say what the study claims as well. Lol The 97% is a gross misrepresentation.

@askani21 It is absolutely an opinion. Lol Many scientists agree with it. Many do not. They have separate opinions.
1
@32shumble There are many scientists who disagree with it too. Lol Look into it.
1
@spanke2999 Actually, energy from coal, gas, etc will become more expensive with this climate change narrative and the actuons they think will stop it, making those companies more money.
1
@spanke2999 Also, the single best thing that coyld be done to lower emissions of co2 significantly would be to implement nuclear plants everywhere....most liberals are opposed to nuclear for some odd reason. 🤔
1
@spanke2999 the best energy option would be to use nuclear and renewable energy together. There are also advancements being worked in to use the waste.
1
@spanke2999 No, you didn't hurt my feelings at all. Lol It's just asinine and unnecessary to be derogatory toward someone just because their opinion doffers from yours.
1
@spanke2999 My option still is the best option and have said why here already. It's not even close to the most dangerous...that would be coal because of the toxic pollution. When everything is added up, nuclear is the best option. Supplemented with renewable. The deforestation and land use would actually be the biggest reason that all renewable isn't a great option. It wouldn't do much for emissions of co2 as deforestation is one of the biggest co2 issues.
1
@spanke2999 Yes, I do think so. Being derogatory is the worst way to have a conversation or debate. It causes the other person to immediately go on the defensive and they'll never listen to your thoughts. If you're trying to educate anyone or spread your ideas, being cordial is the single best thing you can do. Have a great day. 😉
1
@spanke2999 Ah and to your point on risk of nuclear energy, it is actually the safest option out of the main sources.
1
@Brian Buckmaster Except his policies haven't either...
1
@vwr32jeep They do and it's known. Look up cloud seeding. Or Operation Popeye. Check it out. Crazy stuff.
1
@vwr32jeep yeah blaming him is dumb af. Lol
1
@vwr32jeep Its actually been shown to cause huge amounts of rain. Like during Vietnam.

@vwr32jeep 👍👋

@Supernautiloid The right has a hatred for science? That's silly as most on the right believe in biology and the left typically don't recently.
1
@pitphi Science is not a democracy. Look into the past and see that it is not. The consensus was that the Earth was flat at one time. Also that the sun revolved around us. It's about looking at both sides and seeing who you agree with based on the data. Opinions always differ. This has been one of the biggest debates and scientists have actually lost jobs just because their views don't go with the narrative. Some have even been pressured into taking back their comments. Terry Tater Please read a book.
1
Terry Tater I was speaking of scientists/philosophers from history who discovered things and were thought to be wrong originally....so I'd recommend a history book maybe?
1
Terry Tater Its not the entire scientific community. Not even close. My one post touches on that. 😉
1
Terry Tater That's not even close to true. The 97% number is extremely overinflated and a straight up lie. My comment covers that as well.
