@carlfaucher1543 Not really. Stats on areas with walls show a reduction in illegal crossings. It is a deterrent. It isn't made to stop everyone. It is made to deter and stop most and detour them to areas where you can stop them. It is impossible to watch a whole border so deterrents are the best way to help.

@carlfaucher1543 How would that help? These people don't go to the port of entry on purpose. It isn't a lack of wntry ports that is the issue. They are illegally jumping the border to bypass all of that. They only claim asylum when they are caught so the gov will just give them a court date and let them in and most never show up and are lost somewhere in the US. We need deterrence. We need to keep the "stay in Mexico" system or start firing upon ppl for illegally crossing.
