  1. The UK has more home invasions(when homeowners are home and as I'm sure you can imagine, this is much more dangerous) than the US. There was a study done on inmates. It's because in the US, the criminals don't knownif the homeowner has a gun or not. It isn't the police they're worried about, it's the homeowner. In the UK, they're almost guaranteed to not have a gun.

  14.  @davem2761  The economy is far better than it has been for a long time. Unemployment is so much better. Obama said tbese jobs are never coming back. Trump proved him wrong. He's done a lot of deregulation that makes it better for businesses, large and small. He has tried to work on healthcare. He at least got the worst part of it out, the mandate. At least people aren't having to pay the government for not being able to afford healthcare. 🙄. He is doing great with foreign policy by pulling us out of all these stupid deals that were bad for the US and good for other countries. He has done most of what he said he would and the things he hasn't, isn't for lack of trying.

  26. @domhnall777 Tbere was many reasons they were rebelling. It wasnt just slavery. Slavery is just what was the last straw. Tensions had been heightening for a while before then. It was econonical decisions that werent good for the south but the North wasnt caring about. Like tariffs to England that was bad for the South. They also didnt like the North going back on tbeir agreement of new states when they made a state below the line a non slave state. Yes, that was about slavery but the point was that it was bad for their economy and what they felt was their property. The point of rebelling was that they felt they had the right to, as a state. The idea that it was all slavery is asinine.

This does not even include the people who pay zero percent. The bottom half are a net negative as they take more in programs than they pay in. Their average tax rate is 4% while the 1% average tax rate is 27%. The top 1 percent paid a greater share of individual income taxes (37.3 percent) than the bottom 90 percent combined (30.5 percent).

Not one person has been stopped from getting the drug. Pharmaceutical companies have said they will keep making an ample amount of it.
