  1.  @twrecks6279  Um no...in the US... The 1% pay 39% of all income taxes. The 10% pay 69%. The top 50% pay 96%. The lower half pay 3%. This does not even include the people who pay zero percent. The bottom half are a net negative as they take more in programs than they pay in. Their average tax rate is 4% while the 1% average tax rate is 27%. The top 1 percent paid a greater share of individual income taxes (37.3 percent) than the bottom 90 percent combined (30.5 percent).

  3. Not to mention, NYT won't release these supposed documents or reveal their source. Years of saying they have proof of things that never come to fruition and are later to be proven to be outright lies makes me say I don't care.

  4. Nobody should have to pay income taxes at all. Taxing income is taxing the hours of work you do which is taxing your life. And no matter how you do it, it isn't fair to someone. Why should the rich have to pay millions of dollars because they worked their ass off and made a lot of money. It is asinine. It is monetary discrimination. Meanwhile, a huge portion of Americans pay nothing and are in the negative even. There should be sales tax only(reasonably priced...like 7-8%)because that is voluntary. You can just not buy the item if you don't want to pay it. It would take most of the money the govt gets so the govt should downsize an assload and live within their fkn means like the people do.

  5.  @twrecks6279  Businesses is another thing entirely. We have so many regulations that crush the small businesses that the big businesses have the money and means to work around. They claim regulations are to keep big businesses in check (some do, I'm not again at regulations in general, just the extreme amount of them), but they actually crush small businesses.
