@DraculaSWBF2 Depends on your state. That may keep you from voting for anyone but independents in the primaries in some states.

@DraculaSWBF2 Yes, that's what I said. Lol My point is, depending on your state, you should go with the party that you will definitely be voting for. Some don't even end up having an independent choice. And it isn't just for the Pres. It is for all categories. You basically end up only being able to vote on issues and referendums.

@waffleswafflson3076 They need a yawn emoji.

@DraculaSWBF2 Independent is "no party." And it depends on your state. Find out if your state has open or closed primaries. (The primary is the only time it effects you. Not the general. So, you're fine in November, no matter what)

@DraculaSWBF2 Also, you may not have to register anything. In my state, we don't "register." We walk in on the day of the primary and pick which ballot we want. If we pick Republican, we get the Republican candidates to choose between. Same for Dem, libertarian, and independent(no party affiliation). And independents will only vote on issues and referendums) When it comes to the general(November), you're handed a ballot with all of the winners of the primaries, from all parties and independent.

@DraculaSWBF2 That is a specific party in a specific area. We don't even have that here.That is something different than being an independent voter. The point of voting independent is not joining a party. Again, check your state. Each one is different.

@DraculaSWBF2 Ha, maybe. 😄 That's interesting.
