@HenryHaven-c3q That's asinine. History is full of examples of raising taxes too high and actually taking in less money. Also, the millionaires and billionaires already pay most of the taxes. The bottom half of taxpayers are a net negative. They take more than they pay in. That doesn't even include those who pay 0 in income taxes.

@HenryHaven-c3q No. The gov should be downsized by like 95% and stop being in control of every area of our lives. They should get out of our way and stop taking our money. We know how to best spend our own money.

@HenryHaven-c3q 1917-early 1920s. It went up to 73%. In 1921, those who made over $100k were taxed 73% and the government collected over $700m in income taxes.(30% from those over 100k) By 1929, a series of tax cuts had cut it to 24% and the government collected over a billion in income taxes. (65% from those over $100k) Both the amount and proportion paid by ppl with net income of less than $25k went down between these years. The amount and proportion paid by those with incomes of $50k to $100k went up. There were similar results after high taxes were cut at other times, like Reagans cuts. High taxes=the rich pay less. Low taxes=they pay more.

@HenryHaven-c3q It is nonsense that I keep my money? That is theft of my life. Them mismanaging it is theft of yours too. To live, we need income. Income needs labor. Our labor takes time. Our time is our life. So, stealing our income is stealing our life to give to someone else who isn't having their life stolen.
