  13. Well, it isn't that the parties switched, as in ppl switching, it is that their ideologies kind of did. Look at what each party was advocating in say, 1950 and then again in say, 1970. The Democrats realized the way to get more votes was to pander and offer "free" shit. And they did. Hard. And haven't stopped. This is why the founders didn't give voting rights to everyone. If you have no stake in the country(ie. Land owned, a business, etc), you will vote for whoever gives you the most free shit. And poor ppl and poor minority groups vote just for that and don't realize that that is exactly why they stay poor. They are kept dependent on the state and never own property which is the best way for average ppl to pass on wealth, etc.

There should also be no property taxes as that is your property...it is like you never own it and you just rent it. It is BS. We should only have sales tax(not on food). That is voluntary. If you don't want to pay the tax, don't buy the item. The government also gets fines, fees for everythingggg like registration and licensing fees, permit fees, etc. They should have to live within their means the like the rest of us must do. They can start by getting rid of 95% of the government.

This does not even include the people who pay zero percent. The bottom half are a net negative as they take more in programs than they pay in.   44. All drugs should be legal to have and use. There is no victim in those situations except yourself in some cases. You should be able to do what you want to yourself so there is no victim to be a crime. The people who are going to do the hard drugs are already on them. Nobody is gonna go do heroin just because it became legal. I have no problem with bus drivers and dentists smoking weed. It will be exactly like alcohol and they shouldn't do it while doing their job. People make this decision every day already with alcohol.
