  1. Moonshining is so cool because it's as simple as it gets, yet also incredibly complicated. It's wonderful. Part science, part camping, part cooking, part Americana, part outlaw life. Love it.

  2. I love that we're all aware its fake, yet still love the show. I think it does a great job of showing how moonshining is without actually doing anything illegal. They must have water running through the stills most times Id guess.

  5. its like... I know shows like thsi and moonshiners are partly scripted, but this show its just so obvious. like putting on all that face paint before a "hunt"? you would never ever do that in real life if its an activity you do regularly. idk why that bothered me so much but it did... so fake.

  6. yea thast why I dont really care that the 'illegal' stuff shown is fake. cause the show still shows us the truth about how moonshining is done, the ingenuity of shiners, all the engineering, etc. its just really cool and you cant fake that part of the show.

  19. Ive only had moonshine a few times in my life and it never tasted like anything but bathtub kerosene. None of these neat flavors, double distillation, creative ingredients, etc. I should have been born in the Ozarks I guess.
