I lived in China for three years teaching English and wow, you want to see some real hatred and racism, ask a Chinese guy over 50 what he thinks about the Japanese. There were a couple riots when I was there actually because some Japanese schoolbooks were released that whitewashed so much stuff they did in WW2. Japan was too isolated for too long and they didn't have any outside reference to balance themselves by. They just went crazy with the warrior mindset idea. It's hard to ever defend something like an atomic strike but man, they were NOT going to stop, ever.
