  2. Trumps no idiot, he'll understand Putin is coming from a side of weakness this time around. The US has no interest in abandoning Ukraine, we just have so many domestic issues that we NEED to deal with immediately or we wont be in a place to help ANYONE in time. EU has finally woken up and started preparing themselves to deal with the issue themselves. These are all good things.

  16. I think its more likely that they opened it for some reason and now they cant close it cause they dont know how or cant access it now. I would think it'd take a huge flood or something to actually make a difference.

  17. Russia breaking apart is possibly even more scary to me, as who knows what will happen to all the nuclear plants (fuel, waste). I could see each little region either not wanting to give the tech/weapons up, or they'll be stolen/lost somehow by bad actors.

  28. Why do I always get made fun of when I suggest Putin will fire nukes before Russia loses Crimea? I don't think Im being hyperbolic or dramatic at all. He would do it if losing Crimea seems inevitable.

  29.  @kyle-ld2gh  The upside is they keep Crimea, which by the way, is in their borders according to Putin. So if the Ukranians get into Crimea then they just fulfilled even your own one reason they'd use nukes. They look at Crimea as an ancient part of Russia.

  32. They'll never invade unless they can guarantee takeover of the chip fabs somehow. And they know that 100%, the US WILL get involved. Literally 1/3 of the US stock market is tech companies that are totally or mostly reliant on TSMC. TSMC is a better deterrent than nukes for Taiwan.

  38. The difference is while DPRK, Russia, China have nukes, I truly believe they'd never use them first. Iran though, they would. They're fanatical and fundamentalist enough that theyd justify it to themselves and do it.
