  1. I mean, we do and we don't. Deep down the US, and everyone else, realizes and accepts its a country. The problem is everyone knows how insane China is, and how it will literally spark a regional war at best, and a world war at worst. Unfortunately that outweighs the benefit of publicly supporting Taiwan. I lived in China and this is a very real way of though. I only met two or three Chinese out of probably around a 100 that supported Taiwan Independence, and when they told me that it was in hushed tones and making me promise to keep it to myself. The other 97%? Ready to go to war to retake Taiwan. It is in their school books and they learn from day one that Taiwan was "stolen" from them and from antiquity Taiwan belonged to China. They see themselves as liberators, not war bringers. Very dangerous. Entire Chinese population is indoctrinated with this way of thought. It doesn't help that the strongest racism on earth is Chinas hatred of Japan. While this one is justified imo, the more Japan gets involved with Taiwan, the more they want to take it back.

  2. It's scary how much damage ONE PERSON can do. Almost every country in the world with major problems has a head of state that is selfish, corrupt, etc. This should not be possible in this day and age. Zimbabwe could have so much income from tourism and farming if they cleaned up their government somehow :(

  3. I have seen Squarespace and Skillshare ads on YT like 500 times and I still have absolutely no idea what they even are or do cause I skip through them lol
